Joseph Jude McKay, 67, of Natrona Heights, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 23, 2026.
He was born May 19, 1958 to the late Charles R. & Mary Agnes Lebo McKay, in Natrona Heights, and grew up in West Deer Township.
Joe was a good samaritan and always helped others, whether it was cutting friends and families lawns or volunteering at the Brackenridge American Legion’s monthly breakfast and other events. He also enjoyed attending local social dining events, bingo, and daily morning tea at Panera Bread. He had a great love, respect and adoration for all animals, especially his dog Monica, who also crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with her best friend and owner, Joe. He was a great brother and uncle and will be sorely missed.
Surviving are his siblings, Charlene McKay of New Kensington, Cheryl Wyble of Tarentum, Suzanne Call of East Liverpool, OH and Daniel (Karen) McKay of Murrysville; his companion Amy Ziccarelli of Tarentum; former companion Roberta Lehew of Natrona Heights and her daughter, Anna Lehew of Natrona; and his #1 girl, granddaughter, Taylor Pavshak of Natrona. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Ellen Rawlings, Virginia Edinger, and Robert, James & Patrick McKay; and niece Jennifer Lynn McKay.
Viewing will be Wednesday, January 28, from 2-4 & 6-8PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
Christian Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 29, at 10AM in Our Lady of Victory Church, Guardian Angels Parish, 1319 Low Grade Road, Harwick. If attending the funeral Mass, please meet at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
