Michael Patrick Conley, 61, of Upper Burrell Township, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at home, with his wife by his side.
Born March 22, 1964, in New Kensington to Sylvia J. Ferrari Conley and the late Bernard M. Conley, he was a 1983 graduate of Burrell High School and attended Penn State New Kensington.
He worked at his family business, Oak Lake Golf Course. Alongside his brother-in-law, and a 2-man team of excavators, built the back nine. He would later become co-owner. After selling the golf course, he became part of the road maintenance crew in Upper Burrell. Eventually becoming foreman.
Michael loved to golf. He played in the Wednesday night golf league at Oak Lake for many years, formerly the 512 Elks Lodge, where he was a life member.
Michael served his community as Township Supervisor from 1992-2005, then again from 2018 until the time of his passing. He was an active life member of the Upper Burrell Township Volunteer Fire Company where he served in many capacities.
Known for his quick wit, kindness and generosity, he enjoyed volunteering, helping his community, and friends and neighbors. He also loved his dogs.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Jodi L. Young Conley; his mother, Sylvia J. Conley; sister Kathy Brouwer; his beloved nephew Scott (Jessica) Brouwer and Shaun Brouwer, and niece Elizabeth; great nephew and nieces, Nolan, Emilee and Kennedy; as well as his father & mother-in-law, James and Loretta Young; brother & sister-in-law David and Patti Young; nieces and nephews Chelsea & Troy, Janessa & Josh. Tyler & Leah; great nieces and nephews, Rocco, Lena and Enzo; and a sister Jackie.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Bernard M. Conley and grandparents, Max & Betty Conley and Herman and Ann Ferrari; uncle Robert Conley; brother-in-law Charles Brouwer; and treasured cousin James “Butch” Conley.
In accordance with Michael’s wishes, private viewing and services officiated by Rev. Dean Ward were held in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD.
